Unfortunately, we can’t export maize to anyone. The simple reason being that our agricultural products are not competitive. We have overtaxed ourselves so much that maize grown as far as Mexico can be transported all the way to KE and still fetch a lower price than what we are growing. Why would an egg from Uganda cost less than the one from your chicken? The cost of chicken feeds is so prohibitive to an extent that you can import an egg from UG and get it at a cheaper price than raring yours…and that is how we are killing our agriculture. We will never be food sufficient if we continue this way
