Wawira Nyaga, a 38-year-old woman who was working as a nurse at Kithimu Health Center, was found dead at her house in Kivaruka Village, Embu West Sub-county on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was discovered dead when her incoming calls were unanswered. This prompted the neighbors to find out what was going on. On their way, they found the deceased boyfriend who was lying unconscious a few meters from his fiancee’s house. Besides the 23-year-old unconscious boyfriend, there were a few bottles of beer and an empty can.
It is said that the young man was vomiting and form was forming in his mouth, they reached his fiancee through phone but their efforts still proved futile. They went for her in the house, and that is when they discovered that her door was locked from the inside, when they peeped through the window, they saw her lying still in bed.
Attempts to wake her up did not work, this forced them to break into the house, one of the medical experts in the crowd confirmed that she had already died despite not having any physical injuries in her body.
According to the neighbors, the last time the duo was seen together was around 3 pm on June 9th, 2021, a day before the scenario took place. They were seen heading to the bar owned by the lady.
It was also confirmed that the two had dated for a year, and the guy did not have any known job, all they knew was that he depended on her girlfriend for upkeep.
Before getting attached to Munene, the lady was married to a man with who they separated a few years ago. The previous couple resulted in a child who is currently 10 years old. The body of the deceased was taken to Embu Level 5 hospital morgue waiting for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the man is undergoing treatment at a local hospital and will be discharged when he gets better, he is currently treated as the main suspect towards the death of the lady.
