Which parcel of land would you buy?

Advise on land sizes
I plan to buy land where I can practise farming and perhaps in future settle there.
I have found two piecess on sale and I’m torn on which one to go for. Both are in locations I’m comfortable with and have similar utilities such as access roads, power lines and water.

PARCEL A – (cost Sh800,000)
-Half acre
-True rectangle (around 200ftx100ft)

  • Flat land (a very gentle slope)

PARCEL B (cost Sh1.2 million)
-One acre
-Irregular size ( width 25ft x length stretching a long distance to give dimensions of acre)
-Steeper slope

Bottom line
Parcel A is better for building a home and it’s value might appreciate faster but is costlier than B.
What advise would you give?

First, huku ni wapi land ni cheap hivyo

Border of Embu and Kirinyaga Counties

Think long term… what significant value will that location Accord you in future.

Is there a chance of a handsome land price increment in the area? Can the land be viable for rentals et Al?

Not that you will sell it… but life ni unpredictable. Kesho you may need 7million …can a bank carry that land in it’s books and Grant you? Maybe even for medical reasons

If you are planning to build on in future, avoid the sloping ground and areas with black cotton soil since cost of building will be higher

It’s 2021, Kuna technology which nimetumia which is useful in black cotton soul …rib and block …prestressed

I’d go for the 1 acre. Farming on half an acre ni hasara tupu. Heri ufuge mbuzi basi. 1 acre is not good enough yet, but definitely better. If you really want to be a serious farmer, 3 acres minimum. for 1.2 you can get 3 good acres in ukambani or kajiado interior. It’s the crop you want to farm that should determine which land you buy.

25ft/3.28=7.28m.Not appropriate for commercial structure.Unless to plan to build ‘mitaranda’.Also farming on a acre I think still not commercially viable.
For farming lease at least 3acres to allow crop rotation.
For construction an prospects the rectangular
