What's the estimated cost of building a 4 storey flat in Nairobi, Kasarani?

What’s the approximate cost per square metre or per storey for a flat on a 60 by 40 plot.

Better still, can someone share which construction company best to use in a project such as that.

40 M

40M?? Are you for real?

Actually you are correct… I have done rough estimate of 300 sqm per floor at an average of 35,000/= per sqm (on the lower side) and the numbers are adding up. That’s 10.5M per floor. ‍

You are hoping to get free information, then engage cheap fundis.Later on you will end up with incomplete work or a monument eyesore.

Nope sir. There is no harm in asking. And that’s why am requesting any leads with a good construction company. @loverboy has given me a figure that i have confirmed to be true. Probably you yourself can share the best approach for such a project instead.

First engage an architect, then structural engineer n finally a Quantity Surveyor

what type of units? Bedsitters? One bedrooms? 2bedrooms? each will have a different cost

It should be a mix plan, bedsitters and 1 bedrooms… Nothing too fancy with basic finishings.

Around 25_30m.

… Could you tell me approximately how much per floor?

40 K per SQM hio utajenga nyumba mzuri .

… Ok… Will do more research on that, thank you.

I would give the ground floor 6m. The other floors 4.5m_5m

Ukipata figures accurate ushare tafasali elder.

Did besitters and one bedroom units in Nakuru 28 in total (ground floor 8 units. 2 bedsiters) 1st and second floor 10 units 5bedsitters and 5 1brm) floors done in phases total cost was around 13m. Rent for a bedsitter is 6k while one bed range from 7.5k _8k. Upper floors are priced higher.

Already planning on doing another one. 4 floors this time still in nakuru.

how much wasa the total cost or approximate

Why don’t you consult an experienced Quantity Surveyor. They literally go to school for this
