This might sound like comparing apples to oranges but am stuck. I know VW was rocked by a scandal but the workmanship on this car is just eons ahead of Toyota.

On the other hand Toyota is reliable and spares are cheap.

Wanna dispose a Toyota and not replace it with another.
If you love speed, comfort, sophistication and utmost class, get the VW. If you are a normal peasant that looks for “resale value”…fielder is your poison
The scandal did not involve anything wrong with the car. What happened was that the company lied about the carbon emissions of the car. When later tests were done, they were found to be higher than stated. As such ,anyone can still drive the car. The only problem is driving it in Europe where there is a carbon tax and other countries with carbon tax. So you could still drive the car but the carbon tax would mean you would a lot on the car through taxes. In the UK there is a fee of £10 to £2,135 depending on the CO2 emissions of your car per year @Finest wine can confirm this . Otherwise, the engines still work great and there is no CO2 emissions tax or fee in Kenya
