Who has recently used this road,is it fully tarmacked from Voi to loitoktok?
well tarmacked though just watch out for bumbps and animals
Voi to taveta 105km ok.taveta to ilasit…85km murram…some sections bad.especially around olgira area…ilasit to loitoktok…13km tarmac ok.
Used some months ago. 200km Voi to taveta recently tarmacked and smoother than thika rd. Uhuru amefanya kazi kweli kweli Taveta-rombo-ilasit rough road but nice murram and to be tarmacked soon. Ilasit loitoktok nice tarmac. Would suggest at taveta you enter into Tanzania and use road from taveta to tarakea TZ/loitoktok border point which is very smooth tarmac. Observe all speed signs and limits since TZ police don’t take bribes, otherwise you will rot in TZ prisons.
