Travelling on a budget? airbnb looks like a good option, but have you tried shared airbnbs? Is it private or safe? Well here is how a $16 private room in shared 3BR airbnb looks like in Kilimani, Nairobi. Much better than backpacker hostels and more affordable than normal bnbs or hotels.

How do you expect privacy and safety if you are pinching pennies :D:D

You can’t have a range rover vitz.

You want to pinch pennies, fine. But accept the fact that you will have to make some compromises.

Have you watched the video?

Hotels for me anyday. They have a higher standard of hospitality, hygiene, security and meal options.

Yeah, and it still isn’t shiet.

That shared Airbnbs can be a brilliant way to balance affordability and privacy during your adventures. It’s all about finding those hidden gems while on the road.

If you like traveling, the thrill is in traveling and exploring. Privacy and has a price. Those who are in traveling and exploring don’t mind too much and will even do with a tent and sleeping bag. Food for them need not be wagyu fillet, they’ll do with local kibadanski wherever they are. Let’s all agree that there are different levels in comfort, privacy, food, transportation etc etc. I have been to a hostel twice, camped more than 5 times, 5 star hotels on several occasions and normal b&b more times than I can count. In some cases you focus on the end. If you are climbing Mt Kenya, you camp. If you want to visit the coast, you have an array of choices. But kama ni mambo ya hii Kijiji you must sample the local cuisine, and am not talking about food. And in that case you start getting limited to a few choices

Ultimately, the choice between Airbnb, hostels, or hotels depends on your persona preferences and the nature of your trip. It’s all about finding the right balance between adventure and comfort.

Traveling on a budget can indeed be an adventure, and you’ve raised some interesting points about the different levels of comfort and experiences available. Shared Airbnbs can be a great way to save money while still having a private room, as you’ve mentioned.
For those who appreciate the thrill of exploring, like you, comfort and privacy often take a backseat to the excitement of the journey.
Speaking of different travel experiences, if you ever find yourself in Australia, specifically on the Gold Coast, you might want to check out Broadbeach accommodation. It offers a luxurious and comfortable stay, but it’s always great to have options that suit different budgets and preferences.
