THE PERCEPTION YOU HAVE OF JESUS IS WRONG.

I greet you all in the name of Christ Jesus, our Lord and saviour.

It’s about time you scrap off the image you have in your head of Jesus. Our master walked this earth 2000+ years ago meek as a dove, was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth, he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, he did not open his mouth. He came in that form to pay the debt we had with God of sin. He came in that form to show us humans how we are supposed to carry out and conduct ourselves.
But gone are the days!
Descriptions of Jesus in the bible give us glimpses of His glorious stature and true image as the king He is.
A couple of great men from the bible fell flat on their face when they encountered the Lordship of Christ, still bearing not His full form, lest they discombobulate.

Moses, Saul, John only to mention a few.
This is John’s description of the Christ.- The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.
Even John as Jesus’ best disciple, and best friend could not believe his eyes.

This is Enoch’s description of Christ- "And there I saw One who had a head of days, And His head was white like wool, And with Him was another being whose countenance had the appearance of a man, And his face was full of graciousness, like one of the holy angels. And I asked the angel who went with me and showed me all the hidden things, concerning that Son of Man, who he was, and whence he was, (and) why he went with the Head of Days And he answered and said unto me: This is the son of Man who hath righteousness, With whom dwelleth righteousness, And who revealeth all the treasures of that which is hidden"

This is Revelation’s description of Christ- "His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses[…] On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

Jesus’ appearance to Saul- led this blood-thirsty christian murderer to a complete 180 in the opposite direction. Which in hand made him the successful author of most of the New Testament.

Same to me, Jesus revealed Himself to me in a not so powerful way as the prophets of old, but He did enough to change my life in the opposite direction and I tell you the truth, He is as real and authentic as it gets. Its was on the December of last year. I fell to the floor, weeping like a toddler. I will never forget it. All praises to the most high.

A certain amount of weight and authority carried in Jesus’ image . A vivid contrast we see in Jesus’ return with all His angels (Matthew 25:31), as compared to His entry to Jerusalem upon a donkey (Matthew 21:7-9) He is no longer riding a humble donkey. Jesus will return on a fiery white charger, bringing judgment, just as He had promised (Matthew 25:31-33). He is not coming to hand out biscuits and manna but rather to spill blood of the unrighteous

And to think that everybody will stand infront of a powerful God and give an account of their lives. And those who had not accepted Him as their Lord and saviour will be cast into outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out.

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

How about you, are you greater than the mighty prophets of old that you may not surrender to the Lordship of our saviour Christ Jesus? May the good Lord be with us all the days of our lives. Amen
