I have always asked why is it that US can so comfortably fight Russia in its borders. They must be knowing something (or lack of) about Russias’ capabilities.
I read somewhere that 20,000 Russians are arriving in Bali monthly. 20 freaking thousand. This is just Bali. And they are picking up jobs as dishwashers, cooks, beach urchins, street vendors, women selling their organs. Yet, they were supposedly thriving in Russia. Yet @Kodiaga and @kipuke want to make it look like it’s all good in the neighborhoods of Russia.
Russia is a wealthy country that’s been bled dry by an inept, corrupt elite of Putin acolytes. His military isn’t as strong as they always said, weakened by corruption. Soldiers lack uniform, combat gear, rifles, ammo and, laughably, fuel.

Russia is the the largest country in the world and with natural wealth and low populations comparable to DR Congo and Australia.
Russia has the POTENTIAL to become on of the handful of really prosperous Nations on this planet…
Their nuclear arsenal alone is enough deterrent to keep away potential enemies like China and the USA away from their doorstep.
If I were Putin , I would instead use my energies to form a kickass economic and political accommodation with all former USSR and European States and some sort of Strategic Alliance ( European Security Alliance - ESA ) that would leave China out in the cold and USA contained from entertaining any funny ideas.
A united thriving Europe in a free world.
Idiot , despotic , bankrupt leaderships in Asia , Africa and South America would gradually wither away in the face of this new reality and economic opportunity.
In such an alliance , Russia, UK , Germany, Turkey , France and Sweden would form a base power influence where they would be first among equals and really thrive as an economic block.
