The 5th Estate. Ruto and the Kikuyu Nation, is there betrayal

#41
Ruto is not someone (like Kalonzo, Mudavadi or Wetangula) who will sit down and wait for Uhuru or another person to say Ruto tosha 2022. If you follow his political history you will see how that person has risen from scratches to where he is now and that basically lets u know that he is a smart guy and strategist politically. He was able to trounce a candidate who was backed by Daniel Moi for Eldoret North Mp while Moi was still the King in Riftvalley politics. He was able to trounce Daniel Moi plus his own son Gideon Moi and took over the mantle as the Kalenjin Kingpin while Daniel Moi had everything to his name to inhherit that mantle. He fought against Moi in 2013 and defeated him when he tried to sway kalenjin to Mudavai side. He fought against Isaac Ruto and gave him a huge beating. He retired Henry Kosgei and Sally Kosegei politically. So know this guy very well. On the issue of Kikuyu betrayal, he has once been asked in Kalenjin station KASS FM and he said he is aware and he has planned for that. In fact he did say in Kalenjin, once Uhuru has been reelected for a 2nd term then his journey for state house will begin the next day upon Uhuru been declared president. So don't assume this guy is a political novice and dimwit as some guys like Makau Mutua would like one to beleive. Iam sure he knows the game. He one said in Kalenjin that he is Moi political student. As he says siasa ni kujipanga, know that he has "pangad" himself vizuri

Ruto may be the 'President' already and in 2022 going forward if the current negatively charged political climate retains vapour up to 2020. I presume by then that Kenyans will vote in a dictator like Ruto to put the country in order.

The people who will give Ruto a run for his money, are folks he sidelined in the last JP nonimations, and peeps from his backyard.
Fortunately thats what most of his critic think. They haven't accepted the reality in the grounds that
1. The people in the ground chose their own leaders. Anyone with an ego tries to portray that they lost by some imaginary intervention from above.
2. There a lot of nonsense going around on the same. Someone is in a hurry on 2022 but it doesn't make time move faster.

The only thing about most of this debate is just to give false hope and sell some rags.

Political “Position Promising” should constitutionally be declared illegal, it withdraws the people’s right to choose their leaders. The apparent pact that the Kikuyu will return the favour to the Kalenyin’s should simply be disregarded.

Kenyan’s from across the country voted for Jubilee, and about 45% voted for NASA, they will all exercise their constitutional right to vote in the next president. All aspiring candidates for 2022 including Ruto needs to work hard for all Kenyan’s to earn their vote. It is the collective vote of All Kenyans which will decide the outcome.

Ruto has a better chance than our Kalonzo.
Kalonjo has zero chances in 2022 and beyond. His political career ended when he shelved his ambition in 2017. By 2022 most of the Governors serving their second term will be gunning for the house on the hill or number 2. Most of these chaps are way ahead of Kalonjo pocket wise plus other skills, hapo ndio atajua hajui.

WSR will organise himself as to who to pick for deputy and then will see about what you all are saying when we get to 2022, as for now let's watch how our gavana's perform their duties now because regardless of who becomes the president our counties are first priority now.

I would vote ruto even after being so anti jubilee because of the other faction. he has got some balls compared to the rest of the crowd. We have been crying that the admin we have right now is whimpy. the guy and cronies might grab 500 billion for themselves but he might post some progress. can you show me a guy poised for power right now who wont steal money? na magunia. When he is elected to handle something he does it well. he makes it happen. even if its cooking numbers. Unless some outside overshadows him, he seems to be the guy with a backbone right now.

Sijui mbona I don’t see Ruto getting in. He’s not even likable, apart from his backyard. During these past election campaigns, people in Opposition were saying they have no problem with Uhuru, they actually liked the President, their beef was with Ruto. Unless that sentiment changes in 5 years time...
I think Ruto is feared because of the votes he commands, but critically thinking, how essential is the RV vote really?
Personally, my vote is for Dr Matiang’i (if he runs) because there’s nothing Ruto brings to the table that we haven’t seen already. Si I hear he’s the real power broker, Uhuru ni figure head tu? Sick of him quite frankly due to his insatiable greed. When I think of Ruto as President, I recall the dark, dictatorial days of Moi. Kenya was a real shit hole back then before Kibaki literally saved us from economic collapse.
But, a debt must be repaid back in kind so that’s how Ruto might get lucky.
Damn, I guess I am almost liking you because you can be objective whenever you decide to be. Ruto is a hypocrite and a ruthless man and people can see it even when he pretends to be emotional and shed crocodile tears in front of people.

If opposition can get their shit together and baba steps down and fosters kina MaDvD and Kalonzo, they stand a good chance to trounce Jubilee in 2022. I was a supporter of Matiangi but the way he handled opposition during the protests left a bad taste in my mouth.
I would like us to have someone like Kivutha Kibwana become president one of these days.
