Get a new phone bro. Hata mimi I used to have a Tecno W5 bought in 2016. Ilikuja kubeat last year January with the same problem motherboard issues. Took it to carlcare and was told the same thing you were told. As for contacts I had no problem since they were synced to my Gmail account, as for pics sikuwa na shida nikizipoteza as none were important.
Kwani hizi simu hukaa for how long? I guess I shall just buy something cheap and invest the extra cash on cloud storage
