Sump Guard

Hello K talkers!
I have been toying with the idea ya kueka Sump guard.Last time I enquired from a mech aliniambia gari haitabreathe vizuri something to do with aerodynamics as the metal is quite heavy. Is it advisable to cover the engine and the transmission pan ama ikae tu hivyo?

If you drive thru rough and uneven roads, you need to protect the oil sump.

Bro, get a sump guard and don’t even think about it twice. But here’s the catch, it has to be professionally fitted. I got mine at sump guard centre and parted with 15K. The guard has breathing holes and an opening for draining oil, which is why you should seek professionals. Any mech who sees my car’s undercarriage commends the workmanship.

Gari sio investment…weka sump guard kwa bibi…tumia ikiisha uza nunua…peleka besa yako kwingine…tumepeleka magari na hatujawahi weka hii kitu…but people drive in different roads…invest in yua jalopy then

I installed a sump guard the first day I bought my car. That thing is a valuable fitting in the car. It protects not only the engine and gearbox from being knocked by rocks but also the exhaust pipe. Na ukipitia Kwa matope it doesn’t chafua the bonnet area. But make sure you get it done by a professional.

It makes sense if fitted in a saloon car with low ground clearance. but the sump is fitted exactly under the front wheels, road bumps can’t damage it maybe uneven road or a stone protruding above the ground. but remember it is not the only part that can get damaged, you can lose your exhaust parts as well, that is why people raise their car up.

It largely depends on where you drive mostly. Kama wewe ni mtu wa Nai na kazi yako ni tao and back home everyday, with a trip to the village once or twice a year, you may not need it. But if you stay in the bundus with very rough roads, it may be a good investment.

But these days alot of our roads are good, even in the village you will get at the least a reasonable murram road in which case you may not need it

Ako na mioto ya kuwa first time car owner. Atatulia tu. Saa hii najua gari iko always full tank. Shortly ataanza kuchezea 500 na 1k as excitement fades.

Càr manufactures wanrecall…but wakoo na uzito tech fails me …2020!,… annoying.

One of mine…Ford 450.…reclled

What excitement?
Kwani ni ikuss?

Full tank has nothing to do with excitement…you will notice older people and femeos mostly fill up their tanks…hawataki BP ipande wakiwa kwa traffic

but si i thought @johnpombe Kariuki alisema uhunye amemwaga lami kila corner ya nchi. Kwani ni wapi huko kuko na mawe inararua gear box?

Ukinyima gari mafuta mashida zingine huanza. Gari ni kama mwili tu. Inaonekana hujawai sumbuliwa ni kitu inaitwa fuel pump. Fuel pump ni kama pancreas ya gari. Ukiinyima mafuta you slowly kill your vehicle. You press on the gas but the fuel pump is worn out and you get no power.

Then fuel is often dirty. If you run low the dirt clogs the nozzles and filters. Some bonobos open the gas tank ati to run on air ushering in even more debris.

Mzito, unasema nini?

It is a MUST have thing nigga. Don’t think about it, go get a pro to do it for you.

Gari si ya Peasants, tank should always be full.

Buy an SUV problem solved. We once went with my bros Small Audi to a national park. Hiyo gari ilikuwa inashikwa matumbo all the time ikijaribu kukanyanga kwenye ma land cruisers zimekanyanga.

Huyu sidhani ataenda national Park

Once owned a VW golf and the sump guard came in handy. Suffered a terrible loss ndio nikaamua kuweka. Sikuizi I say that ata kama ukona Toyota just install the damn thing. You lose nothing by doing it.
