Those who got the old monies and invested in real estate like the one attached laugh all the way to the bank. They don’t need 10 yrs to recoup their capital if the structures continously get those high end customers.
Woow,I appreciate being born but I think I was born at the wrong time,or may be my grandpa should have ventured out more.
Na sema the old chaps who got good money back in the days and invested in such structures, today, they smile all the way to the bank.See how much they charge per month.Ofcourse the houses have to be strategically placed to attract the kind of clients who can pay that much.

Aqua Villas .Like you mentioned Such an investment only makes sense if mzee wako alinyakua mashamba since the cost of land will constitute 30 % of such an investment .
But then again ,out of the 10 villas ,7 are vacant which is a huge loss and most can stay up to 3 years bila tenant .At that pricepoint ,you are competing with the Kihingos and Almas
Taking your views into consideration, then which kind of investors, can we say have benefitted(broken even) from the real estate business. The Kihingo’s and Almas have their own challenges.
Build sell investors in the Kibaki era made a killing .They were selling out whole whole apartment blocks kama Jacaranda and estates kama Edenville ,Fourways etc etc
