Raila can never work with Ruto, how many times do we have to preach this? This man has been abusing Raila since the days of YK92, it just happened that in 2007 their interest were aligned but soon afterwards their relationship crumbled like a sand cookie. Ruto is now prime to go for the top seat, the old man Raila believes the stars are aligned for him once again to make a 5th stab at the top seat. So this can only work in favour of both of them if they are in the opposite end of the spectrum.

Count hustler out at your own risk. He is no fool. Once BBI passes he will be a king maker and UK and Raila will both negotiate with him. Even if he does not go for the presidency he has enough votes to destabilize anyones mathematics. His hustler message has resonated well, even if he has lost some seats in these recent by elections, you can see he has been getting reasonable number of votes and this is his goal. He wants to show he can control even 30% of votes in some other peoples strong holds.
