Miraa transportation business

If you’ve noticed, all the probox cars transporting muguka from Embu to Nairobi are new. This could imply that there’s is quick money in the biz.
How does one join it? Does it have cartels that create entry barriers?

am yet to see a miraa billionaire. kama probox zote ni mpya means hundreds are entering the market daily and hundreds exiting the market daily, hakuna mwenye anamaliza miaka mbili after kugundua ilikua hype ya uongo wanajitoa na gari zao, saa zote biashara itafanywa na new entrants.

I was just thinking of the same before you posted but my plan was to buy a helicopter instead of a probox. It will be much faster and safer and of course more professional having put more brain on it unlike you who wants to continue fishing with a fishing rod and hook just like you found others doing

Ile ya miraa yenyewe ndio huwa poa na iko na pesa mingi sana… Inadeal na macartels lakini sio wengi… Ni watu kiasi mambirrionea… Unapata mmoja ako na Hilux karibu kumi… Hio ndio naweza kuadvise uanze lakini inataka capital kubwa sana… Lakini hii pia ni kama tu hio ingine in terms of kuanza…

Vile unaweza ianza vizuri, ni uende ununue shamba kubwa sana uko, upande jaba yako… Tafuta mtu wa kusupplia jaba bila kutumia cartels, nunua gari yako anza kupeleka hio jaba yako pekee, alafu biz ikianza kuwa stable, saa io ata umejuana na watu kathaa umeunda network, anza sasa kutafuta wakulima unachukua yao unaongeza kwa yako unapeleka… Thats how you grow… Huko lazima uanze chini sio kuenda tu kuingia kwa biz unajifanya cartel… Na lazima ujue watu wengi banae ama tuskie kichwa yako imepatikana Kenol

11 Airworthiness Directives (AD’s) status report.
12 A copy of the current Certificate of Airworthiness (if any).
13 Current and historical maintenance records.
14 Availability of a KCAA Approved Maintenance Organization with capability on aircraft type.
15 A document to prove aircraft ownership (e.g. Bill of Sale);
16 Copy of a Government issued Identity Card or Passport as appropriate
17 A certified copy of the Certificate of Incorporation if owned by a company;
18 Names of directors of the company owning or leasing the aircraft and their specimen signatures giving authority to register the aircraft and indicating who among them has the mandate to transact on their behalf on matters of registration.
19 A certified copy of the Lease Agreement if the aircraft is on lease
20 Letter of authority (if the application is made on behalf of the owner (s)
21 A certified copy of a current aircraft insurance certificate
22 Proof of payment of prescribed fees

There was a myth kitambo, that miraa puckups (Toyota Hillux) would do one round of miraa then retired in favor of a new one. Well, i lived huko Meru later, long enough to know specific miraa pickups and their drivers. They buy new, of course. Fine, but there was a KBN (2012 car) still ferrying the leaves in 2017. There were two KBQs still plying. Nilijua hii kitu ni overrated.

  1. Miraa takes years to mature. Hiyo sio kama muguka ya Embu.

  2. Other tribes are not allowed to plant and harvest miraa farms.

Miraa farms are owned exclusively by Meru (Igembe) people.

Hmmm this is my turf since am a girl from Mbeere ie my mum is a Mbeere though was not brought up there…and matawi aka mogoka is grown in every back yard in our shagz.Lucrative but you need to know the types of mogoka …others are poisonous.Penetrating the land there if you’re not a local is difficult

You will never see a retired miraa driver, they are either dead or deserted the job long time ago when they wised up
