Propper way to slow down…

Brake.Clutch.Downshift.

Clutch, brake, downshift… (it works for me)

When in high gear/speed: slowly brake, clutch, downshift
Low gear/speed: Clutch ndani, slowly brake, downshift

If u brake first in low gear, the car stalls

There was a huuuge argument abt the procedure pale FB juzi

you hit the clutch first and you hit the next car or run into you living room.

This way the gearbox doesn’t assist in slowing down the car… Very risky because all the weight of the car entirely depends on the brakes after that.
Try that in truck uone lining zikinuka from here to Kanamai. Na ukicheza brake pads shoe inaeza hata chomoka in this newer models ziko na pads mbele.

Clutch followed by brake.

Depends on the speed/gear engaged as explained by @addCache hapo juu

Clutch to disengage gear - followed by brake - the engage a lower gear on and on.If at speed clutch yote ndani - brakes - then neutralize the gear…nani kama mimi

upus watu walihamia automatic

100%

So many fake drivers here, y’all seem to have learnt everything from matatu drivers.
You brake then lower the gears…

Still very wrong, you loose some control over the car when it’s on free, you must brake while on gear then lower the gears after you’ve slowed down.
Have you ever driven a manual car down the hill on free, versus on gear?
Which scenario is easier to control the car or slow down the car?

When used to it one is very much in control.Remember you move from high to low pole pole sio instantly

This was specifically targetted to you, the village millenial.

Manual cars chieth tuliachia madereva wa malori kama @Meria Mata

I hate manual cars and the large % of insecure men that drive them to create a false mask that wao ndio Bingwa. I find it’s easy to drive stick like ABC.Never saw the special thing about them. I prefer automatic because they’re modern and easy on the driver. It’s like preferring a charcoal iron box over an electric one. Doesn’t make sense.
