Mi 9t MIUI update to version 12

I have this phone and juzi imeniambia that version 12 of MIUI is ready to download. Has anyone downloaded this version 12 and is it any good?

hiyo ni simu ya pawa… delay as much as you can before uingie version mpya… just incase iko na mambo… halafu upige backup kwa cloud just before the upgrade, utoe security setting zote kama PIN etc etc, followed by a factory reset upon upgrade… Just in case, ukianza uanze from a clean slate everythng…

This is not necessary…there is nothing to worry about

Miui 12 iko smooth sana, update it

You have upgraded?

I’m using MIUI 12 on MI 9T Pro, and one issue I’ve experienced ni kwa calls. Maybe in Mi 9T it’s all fine, but kwa hii simu yangu specifically, VoLTE has been messing up my calls. Every now and then when someone calls me I can’t hear them and neither can they, until I terminate the call and call them back.

I’ve pinned this issue to VoLTE since when I disable it the problem disappears. I have raised this issue on MIUI forums and moderators initially asked me to clear data on “phone” app, but that didn’t help. However, I haven’t seen anyone else complain, and there’s a possibility this issue is only on a few 9T Pro devices. It’s not a hardware issue though, and before MIUI 12 I didn’t have any issue. Currently its fine with VoLTE disabled, but I’m planning to flash MIUI.EU soon.

This will work.

It’s a heavy phone though. I see Vivo, Oppo and Huawei are releasing very light phones 160-170 grams yet aluminium frames and 4200 Mah batteries with more than a day of battery life. Pixel 4a is just 143 grams.

You said that you use your phone without a cover so at least umejaribu. Lakini a rugged cover would take you to 1/4 kg territory.

:D:D:D Nilitupaga cover mbali sana. Simu yangu is “as director intended.”

Oh yea and so far no problem to report

wewe utakufa na Xiaomi? Jaribu other brands as well

Niko soo loyal to this brand after disappointed experience na kina tecno na cubot

sasa tecno ni simu ya maana kweli boss…sijui cubot

Boss a glass phone with a big battery will always be heavier than plastic or aluminium phones, and nobody makes aluminium phones these days, maybe just the frame of the phone. The pixel 4a is a ppastic phone with an anemic battery. Which phone do you use?

Comeon there are many phones with an Aluminium flame and glass backs but don’t have a weight of 200gms

The vivo s7 is a plastic + glass phone and weighs 170gms . It was just launched last week.

Ati no phones have aluminium?

Again the Vivo X50 5G has aluminium + glass sandwich and weighs 174gms. These phones have 5G and AMOLED.

Na bado sijataja Huawei and Oppo they have lighter phones that Xiaomi.

Funny thing is that Xiaomi has a big battery sometimes 6000Mah lakini it doesn’t beat 4000Mah phones from BBK group of companies and huawei.

It’s as if you have very bad battery technology you slap the phone with a 6000Mah battery
Samsungs.

My point was these days oems only use aluminium for the frame of the phone, the back and front is uaually glass/glass or plastic/glass. The glass/glass are always heavier even with a tiny battery. The days of fully aluminium phones ala htc m8 and iphone 7 are over. Plus phones with bigger displays will be chunkier. Just know that if you want a flagship, you’ll have to start doing bicep curls coz they’ll be heavy

Jus google it,sio mbaaya sana

Just update. Its now 12.0.3…battery performance tu ndio nimeona imeshuka kiasi. am using Mi 9T pia

I would’t trust a Xiaomi phone with 4000 mAH battery. It’s battery endurance and even durability will be eclipsed by phone with 3000 mAH from BBK phones (Oneplus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme) and Huawei. Infact 4000mAH Xiaomi phone = 3300 mAH Huawei phone in terms of endurance.

Halafu wanakwekea weight karibu 1/4 Kg
