Majamaa let's help this brother from Dandora

Meet *Victor, a 27 year old single father to a 5 year old girl. Victor was gang-raped by 5 men, one month ago.

How did we get to find Victor? After the ordeal, in much pain, shock and trauma, he wrote his female friend a suicide note. He had taken his daughter to his mother in Dandora and come back home. He didn’t know how life could go on despite the fact that he was the sole parent to his child. His wife, had passed on while having their baby.

When the news reached us, we quickly reached out to Victor and convinced him to meet us. Which after persuasion, he did.

Victor was in pain, hadn’t eaten for three days and couldn’t even utter a full sentence without breaking down. We took him to hospital. He had to undergo surgery and he stayed in hospital for 4 days thanks to your support.

After being discharged, we got him therapy, he had rent arrears and we paid those plus his August rent. We bought them shopping and some money to survive the month as he healed.

Victor took his daughter back this week. They have always been on their own.

If you meet Victor, he’s an amazing father, a great guy.

We spoke to Victor. He was going through driving school, so that he could find a driving job.

Why are we writing his story?

Victor had a job where he used to clean cars and offices. Due to the Corona Pandemic, he lost his job. Victor has a few asks and we love how much Kenyans and our supporters always stand by survivors and help them rebuild their lives.

1.He has a balance of Ksh 5,000 to clear his driving causes
2. He needs to take care of his daughter and his asks are groceries, and eggs to help them get through the month as he gets back on his feet and fully heals.
3. We would love it if Victor would be able to pay his rent for September as he gets on his feet.
4. Victor is willing and ready to take any job offered to him.
5. He is well versed with farming and would appreciate starting capital.

We are starting this program called Survivors Livelihood Support. This will ensure any survivor that is unable to get back on their feet, can get some assistance.

Today, we are asking you to support Victor. Any amount from Ksh 10 will contribute towards this kitty, not only for Victor but for the future beneficiaries of our Livelihood Support Program.

Our Paybill :891300
Account :Usikimye
