Kikuyu (Gikambura) or Syokimau

I am considering buying a home and am considering Kikuyu-gikambura area and syokimau. I never lived in either: Security-wise and future-value wise, which is a better option for my compound, not an apartment.

Syokimau, hiyo expressway itafanya plots zipande kama mafuta

Tembea iyo maonea uone kama mazingira itakufurahisha. You settle where you feel its peaceful.
Western by pass taleta maendeleo kikuyu area, expressway itapatia syokimau city life vibes

If you are serious buyer hawezi kua hapa

Syokimau is a better place to live ,it’s more Cosmopolitan, near major industries and office parks, security iko sawa na infrastructure, gikambura is rural na security road, internet and water and sewage infrastructure is poor.

syokimau Kuna air pollution mobb from the factories within even at night u can feel the smog, drinking water ni issue then access roads ni mbaya sana.
Gikambura Kuna fresh air, groceries kwa market ni fresh na affordable
Do the math

Huko Gikambura in a few years itakua a fertile haven for criminals

@raider ,syokimau prices have already sky rocketed. What is your budget like ?
I love syokimau coz it’s neutral and friendly.
That’s one of the very few places you won’t have to worry about political insecurity.

Have you been in Gikambura ama you are a keyboard tourist?
Why would you want to reside adjacent to a factory

Syokimau is a better place to live, factories are not as near as talkers want to potray, gikambura ni shambani buana ,a place you can’t even pop in at say 10 pm after a few beers with the boys without fearing njuguna and his boys will pounce on you with all manner of crude weapons.

If you value quality of life and like serenity and less crowded areas enda Gikambura…greener, better environment overall, accessible thanks to proximity to southern By pass

I have slept there several weekends and I guess week nights could possible.

I am from GIkambura, its nice too see that people are considering my home village.

I’ve been to Syokimau twice. There are two things I didn’t like about the area. Temperature, the area is extremely hot and the second one is drainage, since the area is extremely flat.

Gikambura is a former mungich area(gikambura, kikuyu, wangige, dago, kawangware) since its an old village. In addition its a land of rich and poor men.

The good thing with gikambura is good weather, access to good schools, fresh water tap and maybe a very promising future.

I bet gikambura has among the best water infrastructure in Kenya. Sewage ndio hakuna. Internet access is growing but not the best in addtion gikambura have better roads than syokimau

Sewage iko around thogoto ikipanda na huko Gikambura

Gikambura hakuna wizi,maybe ianze

Good to hear from someone from Gikambura…I usually do sunday drives through those areas and started developing a liking for the area but when I tried to ask around the first dude I spoke to was not straightforward…on further inquiry I realised the land he wanted to sell has issues…supposedly owned by 3 brothers but title is still with the mother who still resides on another family property in uthiru. Second seller I approached was guarded but mentioned something to do with mungiki, he hinted that there were tribal attacks in 2007 or 2013. Kindly shed some light on this.
I encountered same issues when I tried to look for a small piece of land near fortsmith/ kanyariri area. These two areas are very good interms of weather and infrastructure but it seems like insecurity is an issue…I could be wrong though.

Hakuna mungiki, but to be on the safe side bibi ni mkikuyu?

Gikambura wapi ? Kwa gando ama kwa chege ?

Not Kenyan
