Kerosene

What’s happening to kerosene… Whole of our town hakuna for three weeks…

When planes were grounded most oil companies did not import DPK aka kerosene but supply will steady by end of September.

Why is it called dual purpose kerosene?
And whats its connection na jet fuel?

Majority of what was left in the market has been used to adulterate diesel.

Jet fuel is just kerosene with additives

It is used as jet fuel and illuminating kerosene[domestic use].
DPK becomes JET-1 fuel after filtering all dirt and particles and eliminating all water in it reason being water turns into ice at zero degrees. This is done to eliminate possibility of having any particles including ice block fuel system and send plane crashing.
To distinguish from kerosene JET fuel is dyed red or any other color.
