Kenya has come a long way, from the dark days of Moi to now when even presidential elections can be challenged and voided. Our two neighbors are still where Kenya was in 1990. Their media is also gagged, cracking a joke about their presidents can land you in jail in an instant.
Tribalism is our only handicap
Add corruption, and the usual bonoboism to the mix… We still have a long way to evolve to a country governed by the rule of law.
Uhuru Ruto Kalonzo Mudavadi Raira longevity begs to differ. Our democracy has it’s moments tho. And our 2010 constitution has a few good things going for it.
Kenyan democracy is a mentally retarded kid. No CS has been impeached despite quite a number reaching that particular threshold, Parliament has done nothing but aid and abet the disaster that is Uhuruto and worst of all failed passed BBI bill with near zero opposition.
The judiciary is the only real shining light in this country. Otherwise our democracy is just as bad as our neighbors if not worse.
