Intermittent fasting for those with desk jobs

I’ve been looking for a way to stay in shape now that I have to sit down all day and this intermittent fasting thing is amazing.

  1. I have one meal a day, mostly protein and veggies. Chapo moja max, ugali and rice oil nime reduce.

  2. I’ll have 1 or 2 Balozi or White Cap’s instead of cocktails with soda and sugar as the chaser.

  3. I work out with light dumbells (I’ve increased reps and sets though) , walk 5-10km, I’ll jog 3-4km in the morning 3 days a week.

I haven’t had this much energy since high school and my sleep is back to normal.

No weed btw because munchies ndio shida kubwa in my life.

You don’t 3 meals in a day if you’re in front of a computer all day.

Fanya kazi mujamaa

Most people out of shape eat just bcuz their mouths need something to chew… not bcuz they are hungry… i dont eat anything on sundays… just drink water and natural no additives added juice… for like 5 years…

Good job boss.

For drinks I have gin (half a tot) and I chase with flavored water or zero calorie tonic water (Fitch and leedes zero calorie tonic). I’ll have like 5 -6 half tot glasses which is 42 calories per glass.

I do intermittent fasting on weekends. I eat from 12 until 9.

I find it hard to fast during the week cos.i go to the gym at 5 o’clock and I like to let food digest 3 hrs before a work out otherwise I’ll feel bloated.

There’s is no formula. Understand your body and run with it. For my case, I can’t miss food.
Exercise is an added advantage and helpful for the sitting type. Watu wa jua kali na nguvu kazi ni chakula na job…bass.

Fasting has it’s pros and cons, and one downside about it is that, scale wise, you’ll be dropping those pounds, but when it come to body fat %, you’ll be heading north.
Strive to burn fat instead.

The problem with any form of fasting is that it is not sustainable. In a year or two, you will have gained back all the weight and possibly more.

Just adopt a low calorie lifestyle and you are good to go. Incorporate some activity.

Sustainability is the name of the game.

I don’t believe in “diets”. Eat in a way you can eat for years, that way you keep the weight off for good.

You lost hapo pa no weed :meffi::meffi:

For diets cut down on sugar, do away with carbs, junk, confectionaries etc. You will be good to go.

I eat whatever pleases me. Kipendacho roho hula nyama mbichi. Mwili itajipanga what to take and what to throw. I know I talked of sodas earlier in the day so don’t think you’ll catch me

Eating a fruit for lunch and replacing beer with vodka did wonders for me:D

Ilikuwa mambo yote eeh

Do you see chimps “exercising.” Exercising is unnecessarily wearing out your muscles and joints. When you’re old you’ll pay for it with painful joints and rickety bones.
