Still, they refused to do anything without the patient’s daughter paying 7k for ICU admission. She (the daughter) stayed with her mom in the hospital till morning waiting for her brother to sell a cow to pay the hospital for treatment to begin.
The cow was sold at 9 AM. It was too late.

The hospital MD directed that all oxygen in the facility be availed to him, Watu wa NHIF, watoi walikua kwa life support, others in ICU, and some others scheduled for theater were advised to seek medical attention elsewhere.

We all know private hospitals even demand 300k-500k deposit for ICU admission but that is because of the exclusivity of facilities such as Aga Khan, Nairobi Hospital, and MP Shah.
