Yeap. It is not a smart idea, never has been. Many Kenyans aren’t receptive to the idea of buying floating property just yet. With time, that will change. Then they will get shafted as always.

Always invest in a house with land. Land is always appreciating and some developer could offer to buy your home and knock down your house and put up apartments like happened in lavington and other places.
Those worias are filthy idiots. One was renting my unit and when he left we discovered he was using firewood for cooking inside the premises…smoke damage galore. Another one came by trying to rent a 3 bedroom unit. Once we told him he had to sign a contract not to do firewood cooking he withdrew his interest and we were glad.
What increases is the value of the land, not structures on it eg apartments. That is why stand alone houses occupying some land increase in value faster than “landless” apartments floating in the air.
the kind of apaetements coming up in Kile and along ngong rd, riara areas are an eyesore. I pity people going to buy those houses. elevated slums at best, or pipeline on stereoids
