I think Kenya’s power is waning - UG having chosen TZ route for SGR and pipeline, and Ethiopia moving away to Eritrea and Somalia, not to mention Somalia contending for Kenya’s territorial waters (with the help of Britain!), Kenya appears to be isolated and will need to restrategise and repackage herself.
