Harmonize Embu tour at JAVA blue. When will kenyans stop worshipping Bongo and Naija musicians.

I love REKLES songs more than Diamond and harmonize songs. But I don’t belief Rekles would receive attention given to Bongo musicians get. But Kenyans would not love their own. However JAVA blue is located at area where Embu campus chicks resides so a lot of pre walls.

ata sijui rekles ni nani but ive heard his songs . shida ya wakenya ni marketing & pr na tunapenda kujifanya humble na meek sana. I’ve realised in showbiz its not about the quality of the product but the brand personality, sasa ukitoa ngoma alafu ende kujificha kama muchinga what do you expect na usisahau the people most likely to attend the shows and buy your products are women kwa hivyo lazima ukuwe na theatrics on the side

Any man who listens to bongo and naija songs should be killed.

:D:D:Dkweli kabisa mkenya akienda sana ni genge tone izo zingine apana:D

Nani askize kuna kuna

Music shouldn’t have borders.

Hata takataka za local musicians zilinitoka kitambo sana.

Who’s reckless?

Pia Mimi bongo, niaja, local gengechieth ni meffi Kwangu. Siku hizi Niko juu ya rhumba, reggae na kaiso.

Genge tone is mostly shit

Hapo tuko wengi. Siku hizi naskiza hadi jazz music provided it’s cool relaxing music. Ni uzee inaingia :D:cool:

Those bongo artistes are damn talented and they put in work.

My theory is that we are a society of people with low self esteem, and inferiority complex. This is not just about music.Look at those west Africans, even though they rub people the wrong way sometimes ( me included) they have crazy confidence and pride.Sometimes I see the way Kenyans treat foreigners, even people from Burundi,Congo. We look up to this people as if they come from New York, especially our women.Like people in this country are mesmerized by anything foreign.I had a conversation with a friend who live in Europe, and she told that a good number of Kenyans even lie about their Nationality.Imagine that.A Nigerian with all the negative publicity their country and people receive, will never deny their Nationality. We have self esteem issues and an inferiority complex. There is a line between humility and timidity,so don’t sell that ’ we are just humble’ nonsense.

You must be talking about Kenyan women. I haven’t met any Kenyan man out there who isn’t proud to be identified as Kenyan…our music is mostly shit…Nigerians and Tanzanians have invested very heavily in their music industry and others like South Africa even have a powerful Arts and Culture ministry which takes care of their music and film industry. You can’t compare a South African dj to to the joke that are Kenyan dj’s…or a south african jazz musician to a Kenyan jazz musician… @miritiandes is also right, we don’t do proper pr and marketing, even locally, for whatever little we produce. Harmonize and Diamond are way bigger than any local talent…reminds me of the recent boxing match between a kenyan and a Tanzanian…the Tanzanian with his PR team completely overshadowed the Kenyan boxer

Nilisomea kangaru boys embu

Kwanza bongo. Ngoma zao zinakuanga zinasound like long album za Diamond. Maybe wale huskiza bongo daily can differentiate

The two countries are producing artists en masse. What has kenyan music genre got if its not spiced by sexual inuendos, drugs and alcohol? Yes the others have the vices in their songs but quite subtle if you understand the lingo. Kenya music sucks bruh no offence , save for the few artists that have not really crossed borders but are OK to listen to

Kenyans don’t know how to make music/ produce beats/ shoot videos

bongo put in so much work it’s not even a joke. saii Burna anaseta US na mkenya hajulikana outside of few major African cities. Back in 2015 Burna called Kenyans peasants in a show in Nai, i still crack up when Spotify releases his end year charts from Kenya. Lolest

when I see the work Hanscana puts on camera shooting videos for Mondi (they call Simba that in bongo) i fail to wonder why J Blessings faded away despite having the resources. Kalvo Mistari akaacha kurap bila flow (lame ass raps) akaenda kua videoman, pia faded. Ukweli tu wakenya hawaput in the work - understanding the craft, mastering it and knowing what makes it different. Video za naija zko top mbaya cuz they hire stylists etc, yaani kila mtu anafanya janta inamhusu, kenya sijui stylists pia hawatki kuput in the work pia, they all fuckin suck. Angela ya juzi has some sense of direction at least, on cine end.

i could say so much but all in all mi najua wakenya ni uzembe plus shortcuts mingi, then they think they should have the audacity to blame the govt for everything.

This summarizes it quite well!
