Growing Up In The 1980s

The 1980s and 1990s are the last decades to enjoy undiluted childhood. Kama ni Radio there were only three options. VOK Kiswahili, English Service and the Shortwave option to listen to the trusted BBC World Service.

This was the radio of choice. A very valued asset

I can relate

There is this Panasonic radio my dad bought back in late 90s. He bought it for 20k. Funny enough the radio is still up and running. Vitu za kitambo zilikuwa zimetengenezwa na materials za maana sana.
