Government to ban hot showers

what can cause the electrocuting?am curious ndio nijue kama nitaacha kutumia ya mine…

Could it be someone is waiting with tender for supplying solar heaters somewhere and water boilers somewhere ?

enyewe juu vile wamekashifu izo instant showers ni design ya kuogopesha watu…wanatuuzia uoga kwanza

Create a problem to offer solution. Install fear and offer safety and you will be seen a hero

Poorly grouunded heaters, since the heating elements are in direct contact with the water the grounding wire is placed also in contact with the water, if this grounding wire is not placed or poorly grounded then you can get electrocuted

Atleast they can’t ban hot sex

true…michuki (RIP) alituconvince psv zenye ziko cbd huenda 120/hr uko cbd ndani kwa hivyo ziekwe speed governor kumbe michuki junior ako nazo kwa port already…hii kenya though

Yes they want to create a huge market!

If the power spikes were such a problem, the should design the power delivery around them. Problem solved. I think this is just one aspect of kenya’s peculiar habits, creating a problem with a solution in mind

itabidi nitafte mtu wangu wa electricity aniangalilie though tangu ikuwe installed ni miaka na sijaiona shida

Umepata kapsaa. That’s how a bandit economy is run

Agreed.

Itabidi we shower in shifts country-wide

I wanted to see some statistics lakini hapa ni ugitheri tu “a number of Kenyans have been reported to have died in their showers”…obviously but how?? considering the number of instant showers installed and then daily use ungethani at least there’s some figures somewhere. …upus

I can live with that.

For a moment I was afraid they were going to Ban “Golden Showers.”

Seems it has more to do with causing power spikes in the distribution systems rather than the safety of the users.

I agree with this move. Not too long ago my grandma turned on the shower and a flash of electricity came out. Poor grounding like someone said, I’ve seen heaters with wires sticking out. In the presence of water and considering people shower while bare feet, you complete the circuit. Kifo pap!

Instant showers in the Kenyan market are all substandard. We had this discussion here

Rudisha pole ngómbe ya doni.
