Fast rising technology vs outdated system

  • Fellow technicians/engineers, sometimes I just feel we have been fed with a lot of crap from colle for far too long. In fact, I don’t think there is any higher institution of learning in our country that is up to date with what is in the current world.
  • So straight, from college/uni you get to the industry, you find yourself you know nothing, how embarrassing. In order to live up to whoever you are working for expectations, inabidi umejituma Sana to get a glimpse of actually how the system works.
  • Not once, not twice I have hear employers bashing how incompetent freshmen from college are, this is where I ask myself, did this morons actually went through our system now that they see themselves as know it all?
  • Once in a while I get to do the lazy students assignment, studying abroad. It is really amazing how their content relate with what is in the current world, that is why they come out competent with innovative minds. For us, when we get out of college, it is like you are going back to class again to learn how systems work, when will you get time to think of how to improve it when we don’t even know how it works? It is like we as Kenyan technical team saying we want to improve AUDI motis engines, how will we do that when we only have the basics of how it works.
  • So, at best we shall always come out as maintenance Engineers, the opposite of what an engineer ought to be, which is being innovative. Those before us has failed us a great deal by not upgrading the content to be on par with what is in the current world.
  • I hope as the young generation of engineers we shall change this outdated system!

The truth of the matter is that a huge percentage of graduates are indeed half baked. Ukitaka kujua ukweli just go into this academic groups on fb. Ambia mtu akuandikia just a 1000 word comparative analysis assignments. Kama mtu hawezi construct sentences properly how the hell is he gonna do anything proper

Wengi wao Ni wale wamezoea kucopy assignments and Exams. That is why, but with a little rigorous exposure, they will get in line and actually deliver good stuff

I would love to do an analysis, on how Chinese higher education Curriculum has changed over the last 50yrs or so. In matters Technology and Diplomacy, as for science, the wheels in this field turn very slow.
MIT evolved from the British Technical curriculum, the same curriculum that established our Technical schools, where did we go wrong ?
Lastly, technology being old, doesn’t necessarily imply it’s ineffective.

It is ineffective in the sense that we don’t get what is needed from our Engineers. Example, Kitu Kama construction works of any kind, e.g. bridges, railways, road, doesn’t necessarily need a foreigner atufanyie… We just need to equip our students with the right content at the institutions of higher learning

It is intentional because of the pyramid. For a society to be well balanced, there needs to be a few people at the top manipulating the majority at the bottom. They NEED people to come out of university half-baked which makes it easy to manipulate and enslave and these new employees didn’t need 16 years of school to do whatever tasks they’ll be assigned. They’ll be interned for 6 months and be as good as anyone else in the company at that task.

China has never produced genuine tech solely, its either stolen or copied. Mimicry is seen as “a form of mastery”, and is therefore not frowned upon - but encouraged.Kucopy has deep historical roots. Qin Shi Huang…that dude’s statute with a bazzilion warriors underground…,conquered rival kingdoms in the 3rd Century BC, he built a replica of each of their palaces within his own capital city.
Today the PRC govt. often bankrolls major copycat projects.Iko kwa damu hio kucopy yao

I remember saying that the education systems all over the world do not intend to enlighten anyone. their precise function is to half-bake young people and prevent them from being industrious and independent, which is a catalyst for a fragmented anarchist society. Only a few exceptional people are meant to be critical thinkers. the rest are fine with half the information and a certificate.

it’s true man…colleges out here teaching some programming languages which don’t match with the current job markets. matters get worse when graduates don’t want to keep up with tech they’re still stuck with the C++ they were taught by their old professors
