Wadau which is the earliest age to take kids to boarding school? I have an uncle who has decided to take his grade 4 kid to boarding school about 200km away from home. The kid is 10. Is it advisable to take them to boarding at this age?

I have never found a compelling reason kupeleka mtoto boarding school. Labda kama wazazi wrote are relocating to places that ain’t friendly to kids. Mtoto hurudi na tutabia huwezi rekebisha kwa urahisi in addition to being traumatised. Lea watoto wako mwenyewe else dunia itakulelea.
What if both parents are near the kid and not so busy

Yes they do, usually it’s for the elites.
Kenyan parents doing what they know best. Passing on the role of parentig to anyone but themselves. It is always teachers, mboches and their fellow peers raising your kids with lots of help from shosho media. Then when shit hits the fan you blame all else bar yourself.

My thoughts: I would never take my kids to boarding school!
Even my daughter whos almost high school age i am seriously considering a day school for her.Let me stay with my kids right where i can see them.
I come from work: help them with studies and have some quality time with them.Play; scream; fight etc.
However if circumstances at home are not stable then yes i would advice one to take the kids to boarding.
I have googled and seen that there are only about 300 boarding schools in the US with some of them being for problematic children or those with special needs.
