CES 2021 Samsung 2022 remote

So samsung has launched a TV remote that charges off your router’s radio waves. And you don’t have to login into the wifi! I like this innovation coz I never seem to stock enough batteries. That’s why this year I am replacing all small gadgets with those that have internal rechargeable batteries. Things like mice, keyboards, remotes etc. I am also phasing out usb type A completely. Nyamgondho is a type C person for everything except monitors where I use display port 1.4. Where possible I am going wireless completely, I already have a Qi charger that I also need to upgrade.

Anyways this tech is exciting especially for small devices. I know it has existed for quite a while but this Samsung implementation is exciting coz I know other manufacturers will follow. Tech should make life simple. This is fantastic!

I want this tech on mice, keyboards, headphones, phones, smart watches etc etc. Where I live there are like 15 Wifi connections I wonder if I can tap them all.

I will still go ahead and update devices especially the mouse I won’t wait for this tech. It could be like 3 years away for other peripheral items. I need that logitech MX anywhere 3 that was launched last year…it has been out of stock and goes for 10K.

I just love CES… it sets the tone for the entire year. I was once invited for CES back when it was physical through a company I worked for. Of course this tech is not for everyone. People like @Trojanex should keep buying those tiger batteries zenye unauma na meno ndio power itoke.

What are some of the demerits of this tech to human health and the environment at large?

I want to buy an 8-inch tablet budget being 21k. Which is the most suitable and durable brand and model?

Sometimes I wonder with all the Tech in our houses whether we could be Microwaving ourselves… Bluetooth, WiFi 2.4/5, Infrared…
