Car speakers, boosters, equalizers + other shenanigans

Can I install an equalizer to boost the speakers’ output without the need of a booster? Does a car radio (sony) has an inbuilt booster? Every seller I enquire from says, “you need to buy a booster as well, because the equalizer would not be effective on its own”

BOOSTER ni language ya makanga. they are called amplifiers. most equalizers out there work with amplifiers. meaning you cant just equalize sound from a radio straight to the speakers. at that point its even hard to separate the speaker signal from left to right speakers. car radios also have preset equalizers but its programed in the radio and you cant tweek them to your liking that’s why one adds an aftermarket equalizer that you can tweek to your liking sound. there is however some car radios that come with additional one or two customizable equalizer bands.

Buda, you need sound 101 lecture. Believe me you are not in a position to understand any explanation to your question even in layman language

there is a sony radio with a subwoofer line. lakini ni 40k. buy this and a subwoofer.
the more expensive route is a sound system consisting of amp, speakers, extra batteries na upuss which might finally produce horrible noise unless its done by a serious expert mwenye sijawahi ona hii kenya… kama zile za mat za kutisha tu lakini sio za kuskiza.

If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.

It’s okay. No problema

Sony 205BT is much cheaper at about 17k. Has good eq. Subwoofer chanel out. I have this installed and didn’t need to put a seperate eq.
