Breaking News: Reality Hits Trump's Whitehouse...

WASHINGTON —

A moving truck loaded with packing boxes was photographed arriving at the White House on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the House vote to impeach President Trump for a second time.

Four movers were seen unloading pallets of flatpack cardboard boxes outside the Executive Office Building on the White House grounds as the Trump family prepares to leave the executive residence and decamp to Florida.

Furious preparations are underway with just one week until President-elect Joe Biden takes the oath of office and moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. on Jan. 20.

The commander-in-chief and first lady Melania Trump officially ditched New York and made the Sunshine State their primary residence in September 2019, trading Manhattan’s Trump Tower for their sun-drenched Mar-a-Lago Club in West Palm Beach.

A source close to the couple told Page Six last month that the pair are looking at luxury homes in Palm Beach and private schools in the area for their son, Barron Trump, 14.

Earlier Wednesday, The Post revealed that Donald Trump Jr. and girlfriend Kimberley Guilfoyle are also house-hunting in Florida, following in the footsteps of Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner, who just bought a $30 million lot outside Miami.

The Bidens are also gearing up for their move back to the nation’s capital, with the White House reportedly shelling out $44,000 to deep-clean its carpets before their arrival.

Trump has confirmed he will not attend Biden’s inauguration next week, breaking with decades of tradition as he continues to dispute the outcome of the presidential election.

There have been multiple reports that he will quietly slip out of Washington on Jan. 19, the day before Biden is sworn in on the steps of the US Capitol.

Give the man some space, He’s already down, why continue kicking him ? @Guy004 , input please.

How are your efforts of uniting the Nation coming along ?

I don’t know how that’s going to happen when MAGAts insist on living in an alternate reality

Things can turn around real quick . Trump businesses are headed towards bankruptcy number 7.

There are worse things coming Orangeman’s way after impeachment which would add to his business financial disasters…

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution provides that the “President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” If that were all that the Constitution said about impeachment, there might be something to the argument that once the individual no longer holds the office, the impeachment power becomes defunct.

But Article I, Section 3 says more. In describing the powers of the Senate to conduct an impeachment trial, it provides that “Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States” (emphasis added).
That latter clause is the key because it drives home that the Senate has two decisions to make in impeachment cases:

First, it must decide whether an officer should be removed. Then it must decide whether this person should be disqualified from holding any future federal office. Indeed, of the eight officers the Senate has ever voted to remove, it subsequently voted to disqualify only three of them — reinforcing that removal and disqualification are separate inquiries. And as this procedure and historical practice make clear, by the time the Senate votes on a disqualification, the officer has already been removed. In other words, disqualification, at least, is itself necessarily a vote about a former (as opposed to current) officer.

He is not going willingly. And he has made no secret of his interest in running for president again in 2024. What’s more, under the Former Presidents Act of 1958, he stands to receive significant financial and other tangible benefits, including a handsome annual stipend, funds for offices and a staff, and a pension. But that same statute denies such benefits to a former president who was removed “pursuant to Section 4 of Article II of the Constitution.” So whether Mr. Trump is impeached, convicted and disqualified determines not only whether he could ever again hold federal office but may also bear upon the extent to which federal taxpayers will be subsidizing his activities in the years to come.

The conservative argument would say that the Constitution leaves Congress powerless to deal with such a case — or with any scenario in which a president commits grossly impeachable acts in his final days in office. Not so. Whether he should be convicted and disqualified remains, under the Constitution, in the sole purview of the Senate.

Texas pastor has told his congregation they have an “executive order” from God to keep Donald Trump in office and advised them to keep their guns loaded ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Brandon Burden, the pastor at KingdomLife in Frisco, who is also a member of the Frisco Conservative Coalition and a realtor, spoke in tongues in front of his followers on Sunday. He claimed “prophetic voices,” said Trump would be president for another eight years.

“We have an executive order—not from Congress or D.C., but from the desk of the CEO of heaven, the boss of the planet. He said from his desk in heaven, this is my will; Trump will be in for eight years,” he claimed.

Burden told church members to carry out the order, saying: “Take down the walls of Jericho. The Lord says your Jericho is Washington, D.C. That’s your fortified city.”

The pastor said people needed to be prepared for any emergency that could take place leading up to Biden’s inauguration on January 20.

“We are locked and loaded at the Burden house,” he said, before criticizing Republicans including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

He said: “All of them are a bunch of snakes that don’t want Trump. They want him out because Trump is a reformer, Trump is an awakener, and Trump is causing this populist, national movement that is not Republican nor Democrat.”

QAnon believers grapple with doubt, spin new theories as Trump era ends:
‘We all got played’
The administrator of 8kun, the longtime home of the mysterious Q, says it’s time to move on

Followers of the extremist ideology QAnon saw their hopes once again dashed Wednesday as President Trump left Washington on the final day of his presidency, without any of the climactic scenes of violence and salvation that the sprawling set of conspiracy theories had preached for years would come.

As Trump boarded Air Force One for his last presidential flight to Florida, many QAnon adherents — some of whose fellow believers had earlier this month stormed the Capitol in a siege that left at least two QAnon devotees dead and others in jail — began to wonder whether they’d been duped all along.

When one QAnon channel on the chat app Telegram posted a new theory that suggested Biden himself was “part of the plan,” a number of followers shifted into open rebellion: “This will never happen.” “Just stfu already!” “It’s over. It is sadly, sadly over.” “What a fraud!” :D:D:D

But while some QAnon disciples gave way to doubt, others doubled down on blind belief or strained to see new coded messages in the Inauguration Day’s events. Some followers noted that 17 flags — Q being the 17th letter of the alphabet — flew on the stage as Trump delivered a farewell address.
“17 flags! come on now this is getting insane,” said one post on a QAnon forum devoted to the “Great Awakening,” the quasi-biblical name for QAnon’s utopian end times. “I don’t know how many signs has to be given to us before we ‘trust the plan,’” one commenter said.

Over thousands of cryptic posts since 2017, Q, QAnon’s unidentified online prophet, had promised that Trump was secretly spearheading a spiritual war against an elite cabal of child-eating Satanists who controlled Washington, Hollywood and the world. Believers in these false, rambling theories had counted down the hours waiting for Trump to corral his enemies for military tribunals and mass executions in a show of force they called “the Storm.”

But on Wednesday, as reality dawned, QAnon promoters who had gained thousands of online supporters by promising to decode Q’s arcane posts — and profited off their audience, by selling QAnon merchandise or online subscriptions along the way — scrambled to spin the truth of Trump’s election loss or shift the goalposts of a deadline four years in the making.

“It simply doesn’t make sense that we all got played,” one QAnon channel on Telegram said.

Followers of QAnon, the pro-Trump conspiracy theory, have spent weeks anticipating that Wednesday would be the “Great Awakening” — a day, long foretold in QAnon prophecy, when top Democrats would be arrested for running a global sex trafficking ring and President Trump would seize a second term in office.

But as President Biden took office and Mr. Trump landed in Florida, with no mass arrests in sight, some believers struggled to harmonize the falsehoods with the inauguration on their TVs.

Some QAnon believers tried to rejigger their theories to accommodate a transfer of power to Mr. Biden. Several large QAnon groups discussed on Wednesday the possibility that they had been wrong about Mr. Biden, and that the incoming president was actually part of Mr. Trump’s effort to take down the global cabal.

“The more I think about it, I do think it’s very possible that Biden will be the one who pulls the trigger,” one account wrote in a QAnon channel on the messaging app Telegram.

Others expressed anger with QAnon influencers who had told believers to expect a dramatic culmination on Inauguration Day.

“A lot of YouTube journalists have just lost one hell of a lot of credibility,” wrote a commenter in one QAnon chat room.

Still others attempted to shift the goal posts, and simply told their fellow “anons” to hang on and wait for future, unspecified developments.

“Don’t worry about what happens at 12 p.m.,” wrote one QAnon influencer. “Watch what happens after that.”

And some appeared to realize that they’d been duped.

“It’s over,” one QAnon chat room participant wrote, just after Mr. Biden’s swearing-in.

“Wake up,” another wrote. “We’ve been had.”

Followers hoping for guidance from “Q,” the pseudonymous message board user whose posts power the movement, were bound to be disappointed. The account has been silent for weeks, and had not posted Wednesday.

Ron Watkins, a major QAnon booster whom some have suspected of being “Q” himself, posted a note of resignation on his Telegram channel on Wednesday afternoon.

“We have a new president sworn in and it is our responsibility as citizens to respect the Constitution,” he wrote. “As we enter into the next administration please remember all the friends and happy memories we made together over the past few years.”
