A suspected China-owned reconnaissance balloon was downed this past Saturday after violating U.S airspace.
Upon briefing president Biden, the Department of Defense received the green light to neutralize the spy aircraft.
After deliberations by the Pentagon, a state of the art Lockheed Martin F-22 raptor was selected as the weapon of choice.

On 04/02/2023, 1438 hrs EST (Eastern Standard Time), Captain Otoyo departed from Edwards Air force Base (EDW) en route to South Carolina.
The F-22 contains a Pratt & Whitney F119 engine which gives it the ability to achieve breakneck speeds of 500,000 Km/h. Captain Otoyo arrived at his destination a few seconds after his departure.
With the Chinese balloon in his sight, Captain Otoyo relayed the information to Pentagon and requested authorization from his Commander, Lt. Admiral Swadmore Hutchins, to launch an A.I.M 9X Sidewinder nuclear missile towards the rogue spy vessel.
Captain Otoyo: “Bravo 6, Chinese aircraft located, enemy in sight. Commander Hutchins, requesting permission to neutralize rogue vessel!”
Commander Hutchins: “Alfa Tango Foxtrot Sierra, permission granted. Pulverize that got-damn sucker!”
