Blood Sacrifice

For those wannabe atheists, can you explain why EVERY tribe in the whole world practiced sacrifices even though they had no communication with distant tribes so huwezi sema they copied each other.

What drove them to it? What is it that gave them the feeling that there must be a supreme being and it was necessary to commune with that being ???

Of all other things they could sacrifice, why is shedding of blood a common feature among all sacrifices across all tribes , across all continents??

Once you answer that, you’re one step closer in knowing why we worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

There is a corelation in blood sacrifices, binds, appeasements whichever way you want to call it. christians and the blood of jesus and that dude that chopped his foreskin and went on to sacrifice his son because ‘god told him to’,(god was testing devotion thought he could read thoughts)

Humans before christianity sacrificed their own to appease the ancestral spirits or nature gods
The culture of human sacrifice was rampant in many African countries, including Nigeria, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, South Africa, and several others.
Nigeria has 400 gods,or orishas. Some require animal or human blood before a calamity

Some organized crime groups, secret societies have blood pacts, very serious and legally binding pact between two or more parties in which blood from each party is placed onto the bottom of the pact next to the signature of each of the parties involved or sometimes drank.

It is true some world community have a form of blood aspect, weather tradition or societal but in perspective… All those societies had been practicing sacrifices for millions of years, and it doesnt make sense why a god would concentrate his energy on a tiny piece of area up in the middle east and talk to the people there only and for that reason every sacrifice is based on that god yet animism and idolatory is frowned upon yet they surpass everything else

Human blood sacrifices were done for as long as man walked on earth. Im trying to connect it to your thoughts

Humans are superstitious. We have higher intelligence therefore we are always asking why. When a lion sees a streak of lightning and hears the boom of thunder, it searches for shelter. It doesn’t ask why the sky is making noise and pouring water. When a human experiences the same and he cannot fathom it he calls it Zeus, Thor, Amadiora etc. Hence the saying “No Church in the wild”. We are the only animal that questions the reality of its existence, therefore we create grand explanations as a coping mechanism to help us make sense of all the chaos in the universe. We also create moral doctrines to govern our behaviour one of which is religion.

You have written so much apart from answering my questions… Just tell me. All those tribes, what gave them the idea that blood,be it human or otherwise was the most appropriate form of sacrifice? Tuanzie hapo

What is the probability that a tribe deep in an African jungle would think of the same sacrifice of a tribe in Asia. Furthermore, were we to take your argument that these practices are a coping mechanism, how come they all thought they needed something called a ‘sacrifice’? How did all tribes think of making a sacrifice…conicidence??

This question puzzles me… Even in the Bible. The 1st Sacrifices were by Cain and Abel. Not Adam and Eve. (maybe I am wrong) who taught them to sacrifice and who taught them how it is to be done…

Why blood?

God’s efforts are not only global they are Universal. The fact that He come down in the Middle East in Person does not mean that He is not present elsewhere. God manifests His love and teachings to all peoples. That is why the arrival of the Messiah was known to The Gentiles and not to the Jews. They knew Him to be King Priest and Sacrifice. The Jews only sought a political leader to free them from the Romans. That means God has all the people of the world in His Hands and His Divine Thought. And None of His Creation is ever far from Him. The Jews are simply fortunate. Divine Will favoured them in this regard but the fruits of Salvation reach beyond our planet to the entire Cosmos. So does it really matter where the story took form? Or does the Final Plan of God matter more?

This is it.
Religion is a product of freethought, the same way social structures such as law or culture are established.

The fact that God is universal removes the opinion that God should manifest to men through Jews.

In more simple examples, suppose you own a herd of cattle and want to deworm them, does it matter which animal gets dewormed first? Of course they are all yours and they will all get dewormed but you have the freedom to decide where to start. Can anyone question that?

He chose to start with them… He could have chosen any other race but that doesn’t diminish his intentions. That all races come to know him

According to you and your limited view. And while your ego/training/free thought might not want to accept powers beyond your knowledge or comprehension they exist. How God does what He does and to what end is His Will. And as He asked Job “Who gives Him counsel?” and as He told Jeremiah. He is the Potter we are the clay. Just as the Potter deals with clay so does He deal with us. Again. These teachings require humility and divorce from ego. So they are foolish to the wise and wise to the foolish.

Blood is regarded as the seat of life, its importance to life was revered hence it had to be given back to dieties for its continuation in the cycle of man and god(s)

Even today amongst the muslims and jews, they regard mense blood as unholy and anything touched by female on it is tainted
In ancient system of medicine in which blood and other fluids were regarded as “humours” that had to remain in proper balance to maintain health.

Humorism, was a system of medicine detailing the makeup and workings of the human body, adopted by Ancient Greek,Roman physicians and philosophers ,(cupping and leeching are still done today.) Thats why when you go to the doctors they will do a blood test 85% of the time.

So you see, blood is life, life is a cycle,

hehehehe, this is a religious point of view…

According to the bible,Cain and able did not live in Eden. And,yes, there were people living outside eden during adam and eve’s stay

But through death, violence and forced apostacy

I wonder why the Abrahamic religions remove or delete sexuality and sexual encounters and processes so much from their religious accounts… right from the cutting off of the foreskin, adjudicating/restricting sexual relations between people… and generally presenting its holy people as above sexual urges and encounters… Holiness is presented as being synonimous with sexual inexperience or being abstinent… is sexual freedom such a threat to the God idea in monotheism?..

You are trying too much bro. Humans have always interacted, physical distances not withstanding. Again, mass immigration helps fuel and influence culture. Remember in history we learned that how ideas moved diffusion?
