Bestlady Thika - Vacant Shop

This space was previously occupied by Bestlady Thika. So why would Bestlady vacate such a premises as above? They didn’t ; the space was simply too big for them vis a vis the sales and rent. So they shifted to one half, and the other is empty. A Bestlady shop is a good signal of foot traffic; they do love congestion. It what makes them money.

Products zimekua available kila kona, from online to home delivery…and are cheaper. Bestlady might as well follow suit ama watabaki wamezubaa. No surprise here wamefunga considering wamama wanatumia more products now that they are indoors

Yes…Quite a sign. But they have been expanding all over…seems they got some capital boost two years ago.

I know you are trying to market the website. Anyway, it has the worst design Ever!

Of course I am… Thus listing here… Hehe is it that bad? Somehow converting… But will review

Umesahau mpaka uka respond na your other handle . :D:DAnyway the website is poorly designed and even though the idea is fantastic, your business model will limit you from maxing conversions.

Hehe biashara na handle mingi za changanya. Will definitely review the website. We were validating and if people are converting with this poor website then the potential is big.

What do you think about the monthly subscription model?

What’s your conversion rate?
Pea watu five free searches then charge for subsequent ones.
Monthly subscription model won’t cut since looking for a business premises is usually a one off thing.
If I were you though, I’d make the searches free and profit from commissions mtu akichukua duka.

Will check stats of visitors versus conversions. But have 23 subscribers since Friday… And no paid ads. Just some mailing lists and groups here and there… Perhaps with a better website it would be higher

Challenge with commission is monitoring and it’s a bit hectic… Had tried something almost similar two years ago…

…Opted for a low monthly rate to give options of several shops. Then there are those who are looking for ideal shops ‘anywhere’ in Nairobi. The ones who ask ’ Do you know a place I can start a barber shop along Thika Road?"

Another alternative I toyed with is to charge per shop: provide a few details but charge a low fee say Kshs.20 -50 to view all details… But in the long run it will be costly for the customer…

The churn rate will definitely be high… but looking to get enough volumes to meet costs and profit

I would make the website free for viewers, but charge a small fee for extra information such as the exact location, size of premises, businesses in the vicinity, contacts of the owner, rent charged and may also charge to arrange site visits etc. As the site becomes more popular, you can start charging advertisers who want to include the above extra details in their adverts or those who want more visibility. You could also handle inquiries for some clients for a fee. Subscriptions never end well because most of those who access the information are not the end users. By making access free, you will be recruiting an army of free agents to spread word about your site.

They are moving because that street ndio brothel ya Thika. In terms of business, not very good. But ukiweka wines and spirits hapo utaweza.

Thank you. This is insightful. A sort of freemium model where I charge for extra details. Will rework and experiment with this and more by the start of the year…

No one buys their products like they did before. Hata makunguru hawatumii bestlady now with the influx of international, cheaper and better quality products. Capital boost came as a result of tough competition no doubt

Adapt or perish.

Sawa kinyozi ushasema.

Which hair products do you recommend for balding men like @ChifuMbitika ?

Just your supple kiss on his bald head to stop alopecia

I can tell that your anger is bubbling at the surface. You are very emotional calm down. At your age you shouldn’t get emotional so easily like a woman.
