When any partner cheats in a relationship, the sex with the other guy or woman feels great because of two things happening at once; 1. attraction and most importantly 2. the thrill of ‘forbidden fruit sex’.

Exceptions to the break-up time: The new relationship might last longer in a case where it was a man cheating and moving on with the girl lover, but the end will always be the same. The relationship started on a thrill that is now gone and so is the ‘love’ and ‘connection’.
