“This one goes out to Team Russia”

The car is in the Rolls Royce niche. This clientele is difficult to sway they are not SUV customers that can buy CRV today and CX5 in 2 years. Royce customers are in for the Prestige and workmanship that takes years. That being said how does a Russian car affect the American market and not European or British?

Real neat car. Damages mangapi. I wonder if it’s built to last like a Rolls-Royce na utapataje spares na makanika wanaelewa rvssian

This should worry the British and generally the Europeans more than the Americans. No?

Even Russian mobsters drive Cadillacs and Rolls Royces. It’s about the cultural significance of these brands, not really the quality.

Kweli. Unapata mtu ananunua BMW 116 badala ya Crown Athlete which generally costs the same prices. A person like this just wants the BMW badge.

The Russians will take a long time to penetrate any markets with this cars simply because they dont have brand recognition and the cultural impact like a brand like Rolls Royce. Hyundai also make great luxury cars but no one is gonna brag that they drive a hyundai

If only I could lay my hands on G90… Speaking cultural perception and desirability , why were Mussos from South Korea a must have for Kenyan elites in the late 90s? People used to brag with them

It wont. But utapata Russophiles hapa ktalk who look for anything the Russians do and proclaim the Americans are doomed arguing about how the Russians are about to displace the Americans as superpower

Hehe… I remember those things. Before Prados, watu walibrag with Mussos. I think one selling point was they had a Mercedes engine and possibly underpinnings.

Hizo G90s are excellent.

Layout, curves, lines very 1930. Instrument cluster layout reminds me of one I used to see in a certain Holden that died in 1987.

Any car manufacture who can not sell their cars in the US will never break even, take that to the bank.

Russia has no chance. They cannot compete, period. It will take years to build a reputable product to compete.

whatever happened to creativity

Its should worry none of the established brands. People like Infiniti, Lexus and Acura have built up their brand since circa 1989 and its taken them years to be accepted as a true luxury cars. And these brands had one thing going for them… the reliability of their normal cars. They had gained lots of experience building the normal corollas etc for decades before taking on other established luxury brands.

Also, Hyundai has been trying to gain traction in this market for years yet their luxury brands are worthy competitors to the established marques

Heres the firs Lexus car:

My original post was said in jest

Satire flies right over the average Talker’s head.

The most important market for car makers nowadays is China. European and American car makers nowadays sell more cars in China than in their home countries respectively.
GM and VW would be dead without the Chinese market

GM Sold More Cars in China Than in the US (Again) Last Year

True. They still cannot break even without US sales…Read my comment again.

Russia is a minion with an economy smaller than california’s.They can’t compete because of their limited economic reach. What though they retain is the honor of being the only country in the world that can destroy all life in the United States.

The anglos in Washington don’t like that and will do anything to maintain full spectrum dominance. They think they can get around MAD with THAAD but hypersonics zinazuia.

What is not contestable though is that China will soon eclipse the US as the biggest economy in world and that sits very well with me.
Africa will benefit immensely from a bipolar world
