Afternoon villagers, been a while. Help a brother out. Bought some pc parts from Aliexpress. The AM5 motherboard came with a crack so I logged for a dispute nikashinda. Now the problem is I am allowed to return with a full refund. The seller is supposed to pay for the return shipping but I have not been provided with a shipping back ticket like it happens ukiwa majuu. Aliexpress doesnt even have an email you can send a message to. Their channels of dispute see evidence, make a ruling and that’s it.
Now mchinku anasema nirudishe atalipa, Fedex na DHL wanasema they need to pay on the other end ndio mzigo ichukuliwe hapa. Speedaf wamesema they just deliver they dont have the channels to return. Now am stuck with a 30K motherboard yenye am sure can short circuit if I try using and I have 4 days failure to return the dispute is called off and the seller walks scott free. I feel like the sellers use this loophole ananyamaza hajibu mails ili time yako ya return iishe. In eurpoe they will send you a free return code na unapeleka to their dropoff location.
mchinku hajibu mails. What am I supposed to do. Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Early this year I raised a dispute with them and was refunded my money via mpesa without having to re ship the items.
I think you just need to notify the seller and copy the admin of your lack of a reshipping option, and you will get your money back.
What had happened is I was sent a different item from what I had ordered. Upon receipt, I raised a dispute and attached photos of the sellers advert and what was sent. Within ten days I had my money back and was not requested to re ship the items.
I am of the opinion that AliExpress dispute resolution mechanism does indeed work.
Aliexpress si kubaya, I’ve actually got a refund today on an order that seller couldn’t fulfil, and I didn’t even raise a dispute.
But then again I only use aliexpress for small items costing less than 2k or maximum 5k but usually a few hundred Bob , more than that I order from amazon via savostore.
I am sure you know how to talk to a real person instead of EVA (She’s an automated bot)
Explain what is happening and send the screenshots of you trying to get the address of the seller.
In your case, it’s very good because the seller isn’t replying.
In case they reply, they will try to give you an address that doesn’t match the City it’s in.
Since the buyer has to pay the shipping fee, show them the DHL or Fed Ex quote. That should shiver their timbers because it’s very expensive.
Posta isn’t an agent. They don’t even have a deal with AliExpress and never had one.
AliExpress denied they ever had one when they randomly switched to using SpeedAF a few years ago
Stuff on Alibaba typically doesn’t go through Posta. You need to arrange your own shipping. When they ship, it’s usually at ridiculous prices. They are a manufacturer wholesale market
Beating AliExpress is a very difficult task…
Their shipping costs range from “free” to “10 - 2000”.
Most of the time, you can always find an alternative that’s under 100 bob.
And both the free stuff and paid stuff goes through SpeedAF - they fly stuff to Kenya fast and often. Usually within 10 days of picking it at the AliExpress warehouse. The limiting factor is the sellers shipping speed to the warehouse which no one can control due to logistics (moving 200K items a month)
Which brings me to my question born out of curiosity. How do you plan on beating AliExpress on their shipping game? You can’t go cheaper. You can’t offer money back guarantee like AliExpress. (75 days).
What’s the business model?
