The seven cardinal sins are a concept that plenty of us have come across, in the arts & literature more often than once. Prudent adults have endeavored to instill a sense of self reflection in all their habits in a bid to conduct an existence worthy the title of mankind.
Before Christianity gobbled up the souls of the populace there was once a sacred philosophy that was the epitome of class, in Kenyatalk it is whispered in the halls of sex&relationship by one @Karoga as an oasis for men against the hypergamy matrix.
These cardinal sins are pride, greed, lust, gluttony, wrath, sloth and envy. The Catholic church in a bid to stay man’s baser nature sought to instill the masses with this teachings originated from the desert fathers. The clergy labored to educate the masses to recognize the nature of evil is purely in excess.
Once the individual allows his emotions to overpower their will then evil occurred, isn’t it a glaring neon sign that all the cardinal sins are borne out of unchecked emotions?
Pride leads to a superiority complex and a detached from a reality based existence.
Lust leads to over indulgence in promiscousity and financial and health loss.
Greed leads to ambition in place of aspiration.
Sloth leads to non productivity and a parasitic nature.
Wrath leads to grief of the wounded party.
Gluttony leads to insensitivity of your neighbors welfare.
Envy leads to feral instincts.
There’s so much disconnect between the society we live in since one way or another majority of us are busy worshiping one of these gods, consciously or otherwise.
Let tonight be the night you strip your armor and gaze into the mirror, what is it that stares back at you?
The lords grace, or the undisciplined swine?
