Microb kirinyaga road.

top cover gasket.

Btw peeps, is this oil leakege from the top cover a serious engine issue that needs a lot of money to sort out? Should it be a serious concern on possible engine failure?

I think its a hardened and cracked rubber gasket. an engine can run even without the tappet cover but will lose oil.

Someone was trying to sell me his car and was telling me it runs smoothly and never overheats no matter how far he drives

So beyond that and constant loss of oil there is nothing much to worry about?

It will soil the spark plugs and other stuff. It stil needs to be replaced with an original. The oil also burns on the exhaust manifold and I don’t know what that might lead to.
Its a minor fix though. In had one car that was leaking but never repaired it. Its really nothing to worry about when buying a car.

I think your problem might be worn out top cover seals. Mine too started spilling oil through the spark plug holes and I have been instructed to change the seals

Unless the vehicle is overheating I suspect those are oil seals that needs replacement. Also the top cover seal that is very cheap but not the casket
