The book of Revelation

This book is the epilogue of the Christian Bible, the New Testament, at least.

But wueh!

It “thogothanagias”, yaani inavuruga every other positive message the rest of the New Testament is trying to portray about Jesus completely. It negates the narrative that Jesus Jesus is an all redeeming and forgiving son of man, bla bla bla! It makes it clear that when he comes down the second time with his heavenly glory, it will be to tell us who did not repent “mlikua mnafikiri nilikufa mslabani kazi ya bure tu kama mjinga, ee? Sio? Mtanitambua!!!”

The same book continues to say that all saints have already been registered and marked, kwa hivio some of us with our chastity, our temporance and our faithfulness could be doing a futile work and we could be chasing a useless mirage while wrongly thinking that we are going to heaven! It discriminates against a certain class of saints by ensuring that the 12 tribes of Israel are seen to be held at higher regards by being allocated a special quarter system whereby a group of 144,000 men who are exclusively Israelites enjoy preferential treatment in heaven.

Halafu in the book there are very weird characters of people and equally oddly weird creatures that might as well have shared the same habitation with the dinosaurs… Aargh!

But it is the judgement day’s fires and brimstone, the earthquakes, the demolitions, the exterminations, etc, etc, in the book that hold those who read it at utter horror and terror! No wonder there are congregations and churches, even some denominations, who avoid this literature completely!

:D:D:D:D:D
I find the book of revelation interesting to read, especially where the 24 elders fall down and worship God. Also where the four beasts give glory to God.
You forget that God is a judge, each and everyone of us has been given opportunity to repent, so what do you expect when you don’t repent. For example , do you expect God not to judge someone who rapes little children and doesnt even repent ?. God’s judgments are righteous.
I remember very well, when i was not yet born again, angels could come and remind me that Jesus is soon coming, so i know very well God does not want any of us to perish in darkness.

The Bible has alot of weird shit. Imagine if it is we Africans who came up with the crap, they would call it voodoo

Halafu there is a very common question that has always been asked and to which I have never seen or heard a satisfactory answer. Please, take the liberty of trying to answer it. And the question is, what about our ancestors who died before the advent of Christianity in these hoods? How will they be judged? And if they be thrown into the river of fire what is their fault, for crying out loud!

Ngai!
I have never reversed that role in my mind! And wueh! It is scary to think about it!

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of humanity who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that humans are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened (Romans 1:18-21).

God has deposited something in people’s hearts, they know deep inwards that there is a God, So God will judge them by how much they knew and how they acted on what they knew.

God?
Oh! I see! Then our ancestors might expect a fair case and judgement, after all! That is assuming the God in that book could be the same God they worshipped. I had feared that it will be Jesus Christ who will come to judge the world according to his own prescribed standards, just as the book of Revelation states!

Sky daddy is not happy with this:D:D:D

the bible and most foreign religions are fake…

Our God is just.

I think the guy who wrote the book of revelation stumbled on some shrooms, that was high level hallucinations right there…

Your God, your Christian God. What would a Muslim say about their God? What would a Hindu say about their God?

He is just because he says he is just, right?

A good hekaya.

The fictitious judgement day/apocalypse/end-of-days has been used with devastating efficiency to whip Christians into line. Early Catholics used it to extort money from followers by selling them “indulgences”, a monetary payment/penalty that absolved a bonobo foolish enough to part with their money, of past sins and the unfortunate, everlasting damnation of hell. It was basically a pay-to-sin business model being operated by the church.

If the idea of hell was eliminated from Christianity today, half of them would stop going to church immediately. The other half within a few weeks. Guys like @Purple are Christians exclusively because they are scared of hell and they simply want to save themselves from burning (not an attack on Purple btw, just an example).

@Beenie you say God is just but the idea of hell is itself unjust. An eternity of punishment for a lifetime of mistakes. The concept of hell further proves the illusion that is “free-will.” If I reject God I am tortured and barbequed in hell for eternity. How then do I have a choice in the matter???

Islam ,induism is a deception, our God is alive, check the numerous miracles he has done through his servants.

My mganga at the Coast also performs miracles

Fake miracles. Satan tries to imitate God

A miracle is a miracle. satan is also a god

Now do you see why they say that you’re theist only when it is the God that you worship and all the others are not God making you atheist as far as they are concerned? That is why to Christians, Muslims don’t worship the true God and the reverse perception is true about Christians’ God to a Muslim!
